Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to visit?

The tulip festival officially lasts the entire month of April. Weekends can get very busy–particularly Easter Sunday.  Weekdays tend to be more relaxed and the number of visitors is just a fraction of the weekend volume.

When will the tulips bloom?

Your guess is as good as ours!  Peak bloom will occur some time during the month.  At every time of the month, there will be tulips to see–it just depends on how many.  Peak bloom–the period when the early, middle and late bloomers overlap–typically lasts about a week to 10 days.  Daffodils are often-overlooked in the Skagit Valley.  Daffodils “peak” at the end of March or the very beginning of April.  By mid-April, the daffodils will have usually dried up and they are nothing but green stems toward the end of the month.  If you love daffodils, come early!

Which Seattle hotels do you pick up from?

We pick up from all hotels, AirBnB’s, and vacation rentals in downtown Seattle.  Pick up times in downtown Seattle are typically between 7:30am-7:50am.  Once you make a booking, please contact us to confirm your pick up location.  We will contact you at least 3 days before your tour to give you an individual pick-up window.

When will you pick us up?

Downtown Seattle area pick-ups usually begin around 7:30am.  If you’re not staying in downtown Seattle, please plan to meet us at the Hyatt Regency Seattle (808 Howell St.) As we usually have multiple pick-ups each morning, your individual pick-up time may slightly vary, either before or after 7:30am.  Alternative pick-up locations for Seattle area residents include the following Park & Ride locations along the I-5 corridor: Green Lake, Ash Way in Lynwood, and South Everett. If you may need pick-up from one of these locations, just let us know when you make your reservation.  Your pick-up time from any of these locations north of downtown would come after we finish the downtown Seattle area pick-ups.

Once we receive your booking, we will be in touch to confirm your pick-up location.  If you have any questions about whether or not we will be able to pick you up, please contact us at 888-365-9488 or send us an e-mail.  As a courtesy to other guests, please be prepared to depart at your designated pick-up time and place.

Do you pick up from Sea-Tac airport area hotels?

No, unfortunately we cannot pick you up from a Sea-Tac airport area hotel.  If you have a group staying by the airport, you may consider a private tour.  If you’re staying by Sea-Tac airport and would like to join our tour, please plan on getting an Uber/Lyft or taxi into downtown Seattle and meet us at the Hyatt Regency Seattle (808 Howell St.). If you would like to be dropped off at your hotel in Sea-Tac after the tour, we can accommodate this request if you’re ok with being the last drop-off of the day, an additional $50 fee for drop-off in the Sea-Tac area will apply.

Do you offer Private Tours?

Yes, we do!  You can reserve a Private Tour by clicking here.  Up to 14 guests on a private tour can ride in a single vehicle.  If you have a group over 14, please contact us to discuss the best option and customized pricing for your group.

I have an allergy/I’m a vegan/I’m a vegetarian, will you have snacks for me?

Yes, we will happily accommodate your dietary requirements with your own delicious snacks.  In order for us to arrange this for you, however, please notify us of your request no less than 24 hours before your tour.

I don’t drink alcohol, can I have a discount?

Highly Recommend!

Great tour! Perfect amount of time in each location. Michael was a great guide. He was knowledgeable about the area, the festival, and traffic. Parked right next to entrance and skipped any lines. Wine and cheese platter were a great end to the day! Highly recommend if planning to go to Tulip Festival.

Wonderful Day Trip

LBA1074, April 6, 2021

Spent a day at the Skagit Valley and it was wonderful. I visited on early April and was able to see the daffodils in full bloom and the tulips were starting to bloom. Our guide, Michael, was excellent. He gave us enough information about the area without being overwhelming. We started the day visiting a tulip farm, then had an early lunch at La Conner. I recommend Calico Cupboard Cafe. I was very pleased with the quality of the food. After lunch we visited a second and larger tulip farm and ended the visit in a lovely local winery. It was a very enjoyable day and Michael was very helpful and amicable. Would highly recommend this tour.

Michael was top notch! The tour offers door to door service, he is very knowledgeable, tulip farms beautiful, and lunch stop, and winery was outstanding. Highly recommend it. Very reasonable for time, and sites.

A Beautiful Experience

Jenell R, April 5, 2021

The tulip festival is somewhere I have been wanting to go for so long! Bucket list! I was lucky enough to find Michael from Nature Nuts when another travel company tried to fraud my booking- then I booked another company that canceled three days before the tour. Michael from Nature Nuts is a great person and a great tour guide. He confirmed, was great communicating, and was on time for the pick up. I can’t say enough great things about how this day was planned out. Nicely paced and enough time at each stop. Both tulip farm stops were beautiful and had great shops. The town of LaConner was so cute! We shopped, ate, got some drinks, and even spotted a bald eagle. The Tulip Valley Winery was the perfect way to end the day and even saw another bald eagle. 10/10 would recommend this tour! Thank you for a great day and memories forever! Best way to spend my birthday! Thank you Michael!

Wonderful day tip toeing in the tulips.

The tour was fantastic. Perfect day of traveling in a comfortable van and exploring amazing tulip fields. Michael was knowledgeable, a great driver and had a wicked dry sense of humor. So enjoyed meeting wonderful peeps on the tour.
