Itinerary Details

Best of Downtown Seattle

After your guide picks your group up from either the cruise terminals, any of Seattle’s hotels, or Sea-Tac Airport, we’ll start with Seattle’s most historic landmark: Pike Place Market.  Your guide share the Market’s history and steer you to shops and eateries that would interest you.  You’ll have 45 minutes to browse the many stalls for edible delicacies, watch the fishmongers toss their slippery merchandise, visit the “original Starbucks”—you’ll also learn why this isn’t actually the original!

Maybe our next stop is actually Seattle’s most famous landmark, the Space Needle.  If time permits, take your group to the Observation Deck for outstanding views of the city or visit one of the other interesting attractions located in the Seattle Center, such as the Museum of Pop Culture, the Seattle Children’s Museum, the Chihuly Glass Museum, or the Pacific Science Center.  You’ll have about 45 minutes to explore the venue of your choice.

Seattle Views to Remember

We’ll visit Queen Anne Hill, known for its 19th-century homes along with an amazing panoramic view of the city and Elliot Bay below.  In case you didn’t make it up to the Observation Deck at the Space Needle, the view from up here is the next best thing!  On a clear day, you’ll also get a great view of snow-capped Mt. Rainier, a sight cherished by Seattle residents.

Next, we’ll move on to a very unique place, Gas Works Park, located on the North Shore of Lake Union.  This is the perfect spot to see a microcosm of Seattle’s industrial past and its gleaming glass and steel present.  As we contemplate Seattle in the early 20th century, we’ll watch seaplanes taking off and landing and check out Lake Union’s famous houseboat communities.  Fans of Sleepless In Seattle will recognize this as the place where Tom Hanks’ character and his son lived in the movie.

Drop-Off or Transfer

After this exciting half-day tour, your guide will drop you off at any of the following: back to your Seattle hotel, Sea-Tac airport, or the cruise terminal.  If you need to head somewhere else outside of Seattle, just let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

What’s Included

  • Private transport in a comfortable high-roof van
  • Visit Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, Kerry Park, Gas Works Park, and Lake Union

Departure & Return

We pick up from all hotels, AirBnB’s, and vacation rentals in downtown Seattle and on the East Side in the Bellevue area.  Pick up times in downtown Seattle are typically at 9:00am.  Once you make a booking, please contact us to confirm your pick up location.

Pick-up is also available from Seattle’s cruise terminals Pier 66 and Pier 91 as well as from Sea-Tac airport.

At the end of the tour, your guide will drop you off at your pick-up location in Seattle.  If you need drop-off at a different location in the Seattle area, that’s fine too!  For example, you may need a morning pick-up from your hotel and a post-tour drop off at Sea-Tac Airport–no problem!  How about a morning pick-up from the Pier 91 cruise terminal and a post-tour drop-off at your Seattle hotel–no problem!  Let us know where you need to be picked up and where you prefer to be dropped off after your tour and we’ll do our best to accommodate you!

Know Before You Go

  • This tour includes opportunities to walk around each of the sites that we visit. The amount of walking you do is up to you.  Your guide will try to get your group as close to the attractions as possible so you can do less walking if you’re tired and have already had a long trip.

  • These trips often attract families groups with a mix of younger and older folks with varying levels of interest in walking.  Doing a bit of walking will allow you to get the most out of each of the landmarks we visit, but we can adjust the route to accommodate groups with differing levels of mobility.

Frequently Asked Questions

We’ll be on a cruise ship at Pier 66 or Pier 91.  Do you pick up private groups from the cruise terminals?

Yes, that’s no problem!  This is an ideal option for cruise groups.  We pick up or drop off at Pier 66 and Pier 91.  If you aren’t sure where you’ll be, we can help you figure this out.  Once you make a booking, we’ll discuss your group’s logistics with you.

Which hotels do you pick up from?

We pick up from all hotels, AirBnB’s, and vacation rentals in downtown Seattle and on the East Side in the Bellevue area

We have more than 14 people in our group, what are our options?

Larger groups, please contact us for pricing before making a booking.  Depending on the size of your group, we may accommodate you in multiple vehicles or a single larger coach.

What is this tour’s departure time?

Our standard departure time is 9:00am. As this is a private tour, we can adjust this time as necessary to accommodate your group, but please contact us to confirm availability before booking.

We’re getting onto or off a cruise ship and have a lot of luggage. Can you help us?

Yes!  Combining storage space in the tour vehicle plus an optional additional luggage trailer, we have room about about 20 pieces of “checked bag” size luggage plus assorted small carry-on bags.  We’ve seen a lot of “cruise luggage” and we’ve never run out of space and no one has ever had to sit on their own suitcase!

Can you drop us off at Sea-Tac Airport or a cruise ship after the tour?

Yes, that’s no problem. If you’re just getting off a cruise ship and need a transfer to the airport or to a Seattle hotel, we’d be happy to drop you off where you need to go at no extra charge.

My group is staying in Bellevue or somewhere else on the East Side, can you pick us up here?

Yes, that’s no problem!  When making a booking, be sure to let us know where your group would like to be picked up and we’ll discuss your group’s customized schedule.

What will the weather be like?

Seattle’s weather is really a mixed bag throughout the year.  If the sun is out and we are walking, it can quickly get warm and a t-shirt is comfortable.  If the sun goes behind a cloud and the wind picks up, it can get very chilly.  Winter (November-March) may be in the high 30s to high 40s and is generally wet.  Spring (April-June) and Fall (September-October) temperatures are often in the 50s-60s but can be as high as the 70s or as low as the 40s on certain days with a mix of wet and dry periods.  Summer temperatures (July-August) are generally warm in the 70s-80s, but daily temperature fluctuation is common with early mornings in the 50s and late afternoons warming up to the high 70s to low 80s during a heat wave.  April through September is generally the driest time of year.

What shoes are appropriate?

Please wear shoes that are comfortable to walk in.  Many people find that sneakers are adequate.  If it’s a wet, rainy day, rain boots are advised.

How much walking will we do?

This tour includes opportunities to walk around each of the sites that we visit. The amount of walking you do is up to you.  Your guide will try to get your group as close to the attractions as possible so you can do less walking if you’re tired and have already had a long trip.

Is this trip suitable for older people or those with limited mobility?

These trips often attract families groups with a mix of younger and older folks with varying levels of interest in walking.  Doing a bit of walking will allow you to get the most out of each of the landmarks we visit, but we can adjust the route to accommodate groups with differing levels of mobility.

Is there room for a wheelchair or walker in the tour vehicle?

Yes, we can fit collapsible wheelchairs or walkers into the rear of the tour vehicle.  The tour vehicle is not equipped with a wheelchair lift and 3 steps are required to enter or exit the vehicle.

What if I have another question?

No problem! Just contact us or give us a call at 888-365-9488 and we’d be happy to chat.

Great tour of Seattle

We loved this small group tour of Seattle before we took our cruise. He was prompt and very courteous and had a vast knowledge of Seattle. I would recommend this to anyone.

College Student Group from Florida

Maria T, March 2, 2019

I am the travel agent that confirmed a small group of college students traveling to Seattle and Vancouver. We were so fortunate to find the trip with Nature Nuts that allowed the group a four-hour sightseeing tour of Seattle upon their arrival which worked out perfectly as the hotel was not available for them to check in so early. Michael went above and beyond in his service to the group. The flight was late arriving into Seattle but Mr. Joyce waited for the group and did not subtract any time from their sightseeing venture. Upon the return to Florida, the entire group said that the tour of Seattle with Michael was one of their memorable experiences. We would highly recommend this company for everyone, but especially if you have a smaller group. We, as a travel agency, will retain their information and use their services whenever we have clients going to Seattle. You will not go wrong reaching out to Nature Nuts for all of your transportation and tour needs.

Best Way to See Seattle

Lindsay F, August 1, 2019

We were so happy with our 1/2 day tour of Seattle. Picked us up from our hotel, saw everything we wanted to see, and then dropped us off in time to board our cruise ship. We enjoyed Michael and all he showed us in the city. We had such a great experience we booked a trip to Mount Rainier with Michael and Nature Nuts for the day we returned from our cruise. That trip didn’t disappoint either!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! One of a kind!

ashley494, June 1, 2018

I am not one to write reviews. This is my first one ever, actually. I am writing this review about a month after the fact, but the experience has left that much of an impression on me. Best customer service I may have ever received, the experience was spectacular from beginning to end.

10/10 would recommend!
